Qualifications for volunteer research assistants
Volunteers must be willing to commit to at least 10 hours of lab work each week for at least one year (or two academic semesters). All of our team members are expected to complete work in person at the Child Study Center in Manhattan (One Park Avenue at 32nd Street). We do not accept remote volunteers at this time.
Prior research experience is NOT a requirement. As long as you are interested in learning about the research process, are hard-working, and are open to learning and working on new tasks, you would be eligible to work as a research assistant.
Additionally, prior experience working with children or adolescents is not required, but is valued.
The lab application requires detailed responses and will take time to complete. We aim to respond within one week.
