BiAffect Installation Guide:
Android

Follow these instructions to install the BiAffect app and keyboard to your Android. For iPhone instructions, click here. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Step 1

On your phone, go to http://brain.uic.edu/unmasck.

Scroll down and click on "Click here".

Download BiAffectAndroid.apk when prompted.

Select "Download".

Select "Open file" when prompted.

When you get a notification from Download Manager, click on BiAffectAndroid.apk.

Select "Install".

Once installed, select "Open".

Log in with the username and password that we supply to you.

Follow the instruction on this page and select "Start setup...".

Click on "Go to your Language & Input settings...".

Select "OK".

Select "OK" again.

Make sure only the AnySoftKeyboard Dev is selected.

Click on "Switch active keyboards".

Select the "English" option with "AnySoftKeyboard Dev" written underneath it.

You can choose to enable or disable this feature.

This is an example of what the keyboard should look like once it is installed.

Optional: If you want to change the theme of your keyboard, open the app and click on the color palette icon.

Select the "Pick and configure keyboard themes" option.

Select any theme

(You may change the theme of your keyboard, but please do not change any other keyboard features).
